Wedding Music

Welcome to this page (still under construction, sorry!) where we will help you choose your music for your wedding day. In the drop-down menus below, you will find a format outline of each stage of the day as well as audio samples and suggestions.

Please note: we ask that you browse our short 'FAQ' section and read our cancellation policy.

Wedding ceremonies can follow many themes and personal preferences these days, which is why we try to offer a range of different music styles. Whether you prefer the traditional favourites, more contemporary/pop songs, a strongly Classical sound or Irish material, we have something in our repertoire to suit.
The sections of the mass that typically involve music are as follows:

Entrance Procession

Bridal March (Wagner)
Real Love (John Lennon)
Feels Like Home (R. Newman)
A Thousand Years (C. Perri)
plus more examples...

The Lighting of the Candles

Responsorial Psalm

Ps. 23: The Lord's my Shepherd

Ag Críost an Síol (S. O'Riada, arr. Eoin Conway)

Panis Angelicus (G. Fauré)
Ave Verum Corpus (W. A. Mozart, arr. Latzko)

The Signing of the Registry

We have a wide variety of light music to choose from, also spirituals such as Amazing Grace, Deep River and sacred music such as Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring (requires organ) or

All You Need is Love (the Beatles)
Also possible is some organ/keyboard playing by Eoin...

Apart from the, ahem, usual queries like 'Are any of you guys single?' and 'Where can I buy your beautiful CD?' (iTunes), here are a few other questions we're happy to answer:

"Can you please sing 'our' song? Do you take requests?"

Yes, we do! If the song isn't already in our repertoire, please give us at least several weeks' notice in order to learn and rehearse all our parts. If an arrangement of the song isn't available to order from the Barbershop Harmony Society, we're happy to write it ourselves for an additional fee.
"Can you sing with just three guys?"

Sadly, we can't sing barbershop without all four of us; the harmonies would be incomplete.

"How long do you sing for at the drinks reception?"

We will sing with gusto for one hour at your drinks reception, moving freely around the venue - room to room, inside/outside, having the craic with all your guests. We find it works well to sing as people first arrive; our jolly songs steer the transition from the ceremony to the drinks reception and once everyone is having happy chatty fun, we feel we've succeeded in our role!
Of course for an extra fee you may book us to sing for longer and we will bring our PA system (this ties us to one spot, unfortunately, but it saves our voices!)

"We'd like to have some organ music in our ceremony - can you do that?"

Absolutely; one of our guys doubles as an excellent keyboard player, so he can play the organ sometimes, sing other times. If the church/venue has no working organ and we have to bring a keyboard with us for some distance, that will involve a small extra fee, unfortunately.
Also: if you'd like to have us play the organ in the church, please check if there is a resident organist and discuss with your priest/celebrant.

"We're interested; can we hear you somewhere, maybe meet you in rehearsal?"

Certainly, we'd love that! Any upcoming public concerts will be listed on our website and Facebook page. Regarding rehearsals, we usually meet somewhere in Dublin city centre on weekday mornings. You're most welcome to pop in, have a chat and we'll sing you a little demo.

"Do we need to hire/arrange a PA system for you?"

We have our own super-duper Bose PA system. We don't often use it as we prefer to move freely around the venue, but if it's needed we can bring it at no extra cost.

Our cancellation policy

It's very unlikely we'll need this, but just in case:
7 days from the time we are booked to sing: 100% of fees payable.
30 days (as above): 50%
30+ days: deposit payment held.
